I haven't posted a black and white for a while. So I rummaged through some fairly recent photos of mine and decided on this one. The water has that reflective quality that I so love. Trees are always a favorite of mine. I'm just really into forests and animals.

This is a beautiful post, and the B&W adds something to the element of this capture, with the herons standing watch. I can feel the natural calmness of this scene. Tigs♥ =^..^=

..and you do so well with forests and animals, Frank. This is beautiful in B/W. I'm sure it looks equally wonderful in color; however, the B/W brings on an whole other quality. Super reflections too!

The thing that goes the farthest, towards making life worthwhile, it costs the least and does the most, is just a pleasant smile.
I'm particularly interested in the Heron, & what looks like Egrets, but I suppose that doesn't surprise you Frank. Soon all those bare branches will be clothed in leaves, I can't wait!

Stunning. You have captured a magnificent scene with the perfect composition. I must say, this really stands apart from many black and white scenes of the same type, it just really pulls you in - the trees, reflection in the water, the birds, all in harmony with nature. The expertise shown in this capture really shines through. A Favorite!
