The reason for the title is apparent when you learn there are alligators in this creek. I have never seen one here but I have seen the pictures and heard the tales.
Such a peaceful and beautiful scene, with hidden dangers. Your photo gives it an eerie atmosphere. I like it very much but I will stay on the shore, that's for sure ! Thank you for putting it in the BWC, it is a very welcome addition :)
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

A gorgeous b&w shot of this creek and surrounding trees, Frank. I was over in Your area over the weekend looking at the cranes and hoping to see the pelicans, but I did not see any alligators either. Wheeler Refuge is alive this time of year with beautiful birds though.
Thank you for putting it in the BWC, it is a very welcome addition :)
