I really love this capture. I find that this particular butterfly that is poised so beautifully on this flower is absolutely perfect for this scene and for black and white. Composition excels, love the soft background. Favorite.
I remember the old days when b/w photography wasn't unusual. Given the choice back then people would have have much preferred colour simply to see the captivating hues of the Butterfly. Today I still feel the same way.
The future of this planet will be silence since mankind is too busy destroying it. BTW find the classic definition of Caedes here. Tutty bye for bye now. (o:
Beautifully defined markings on the butterfly that make it really stand out for us to appreciate its beauty. I like the hint of rays extending out from the centre. Delighted to add it to the BWC - on the list for next Wednesday :)
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
MAGNIFICANT image Frank!!! The contrast in the wings is incredible and the BG blur really helps focus on the butterfly. Love it so much this will be my choice for the B&W contest. I'll make it known in the BW gallery!!
