Lol @ "And I'm so pleased i learned how to spell.."

Yes, well ... carrying on quickly then ...

Well composed. Good detail and clarity ... with a minor caveat of sorts on this note.

Not sure if it is my monitor (time of day is terrible for glare), that said ... and I do detect some post processing ... perhaps some more separation between that of the bird and the water itself?

Suppose easier said than done, I might have been tempted to lighten the fowl ... some. As some of the details in the neck region are somewhat blocked (pushed the colour saturation a smidge too much? maybe?).

So ...

... ...

Aha, you did get jiggy with your photo here. As I just downloaded it and attempted to put an image to my words above. (Hope you don't mind ... and this way, your eyes are saved some unneccessary wear and tear reading my protracted drivel. :oP)

Here is the picture worth my next thousand words:

"The Coot" - lightened.

I am a tad curious if what I am perceiving may come down to differing monitors.

That said, I do enjoy the colour and visual quality of the water you achieved via your own post processing.

And it is a nice shot.

Thanks for sharing this one with us. :o)

A wonderful shot and when I saw the title I thought perhaps it might be Owd Timer but then you didn't say Owd Coot. You sure have your camera working magic. Is it a 7D?

Quite nice, the deep blue water is a fine background for this.

I like the clear details on this Coot. I have been seeing many here lately, but they haven't learned to stop jerking me around. : )
