The males live up to their name but, confusingly, females are brown often with spots and streaks on their breasts. The bright orange-yellow beak and eye-ring make adult male blackbirds one of the most striking garden birds. One of the commonest UK birds, its mellow song is also a favourite..This one is a Juvenile male.

Great shot, Richie! An excellent exposure in the bright light that brings out his rich brown colors and spotted breast. Nicely composed, as well. That's one dapper blackbird!

I hope it's not a juvenile delinquent, too. LOL. Another great birdie shot, Biff.

Good capture. I wouldn't have thought a blackbird either because of it's color.
