Correct there are six bridges.... The first bridge you see is the tyne bridge. The second the swing bridge. the third is the High level. The forth is the Queen Elizabeth bridge. Look closely and you can just see the King Edward rail bridge below the blue ironwork. That's five,Look just beyond that and you can see a thin concrete pillar on the left,This is one of the supports for the Redheugh Bridge..Pronounced "Rejuff",Another wee quirk of the Geordie Language....Wow six Bridges. No other City in the world has so many bridges in such a small area..Oh and I'm standing on the Millenium bridge but that doesn't count cos you can't see it....R.
So what Tony Curtis movie ties into your question, Count B? A great shot and you could have come in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th in the bridges contest with one photo and had one left over for honorable mention.
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . Looks like five bridges to me. A fascinating shot and terrific photo, Richie! Great angle, and I like the vibrant blue color of the sky and water. Nicely done!
