When talking about history, think this is history, Richie. Very interesting. That ancient small graveyard gives an extra dimension to this already wonderful eyebird's view. Have 'Googled' somewhat and have found HERE and HERE some interesting information.
Love all that green which could be a good contest entry, and the textures, and oveall layout is very nice R. The lid was not down when you took this one. :) =^..^=Tigs
Beautifully done. Normally I don't like it when the subject is centered but I don't think it would have looked as nice any other way. Keep up the good work.
I like the lines of the vast landscape also. So much to see and take in. Seems a perfect vantage point to view down into. Love the details. Saved to look at longer. Additionally my saved copy seems even better.
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . An interesting perspective on this countryside view. I'm enjoying the various shades of green & the composition is wonderful. Superbly captured Richie ... best wishes in the contest.
The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB

Wonderful post again!
