Richie, I don't know what's the reason to dedicate this image to Pat, because your cryptical 'narrative' is not helpful to resolve this question. It's from photographic point of view a very fine image. Think however that Pat would have prefered a bunch of roses instead of this wonderful toned leaf, lol.
