Trying out the Canon SX40HS @ Maiximum zoom 840mm ISO400..Quite impressed at the performance,The light was terrible but the camera seems to handle noise really well....R.

A focal length of 840m is intense. I try not to use any zoom at full zoom range, but it is hard to believe that you got such good quality with that Canon. Take more pics to show us. I'd like to see more.

Richie, I see some noise at full screen size, but think that this is rather normal for a FL of 840 (!) Think I have to say however 'not normal' as no other camera of this price will meet these specifications. Thanks for another fine 'attempt'.
