Went to Durham last night.To the Lumiere Festival of light..These shots are of the Cathedral,All lit up with projected light..Handheld at ISO800,f/2.8,1/6 Sec....300 pictures taken,I got about 100 half decent ones....R.

Oh how cool! That must have been great to watch! You captured it really well, those hand held night shots are not always very easy. I even like all the heads at the bottom, lol! It adds an exciting, festive mood ;)

I've never seen anything like this, Richie. Considering that I live in "The New World" and you're in "The Old Country", it's interesting that we have no technology at most of our shows. Most festivals involve crumby crafts and greasy food. Lovely shot. Would really like to see something like this in person. Amazing for a handheld shot, but it doesn't appear that there's much room for your tripod anyway.
