This is one of the breeds of duck developed in North America. It is a hardy and quiet breed. These ducks are best known for their plumage, which is a brilliant greenish-black. They are quite amazing to see in the sunlight.

It's a Howdy Doody Duck. "Cayuga, Buffalo Bob!"
Shiny little feller. Good shot Count B.

Even without the sunlight it is amazing. The colours and the shine remind me of a peacock feather. Great capture Richie.

Such a colorful duck and I really like the degree of dof that you introduced so we can still make out the surroundings.

Beautiful bird and wonderfully detailed shot. Composition is perfect. Nice blurred background. It's gettin' tougher and tougher to find anything in your shots to complain about.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

The colors are brilliant Richie but I think it has a better chance of walking across the water with the ice on it.
