Jacob Sheep are a very ancient breed that probably originated in Syria some 3000 years ago. Pictorial evidence traces the breed's movement through North Africa, Sicily, Spain, and on to England.

I think a Sheep Dog was very naughty about 3000 years ago Count B. Can they climb a ladder?
I like the way it posed for you as if you were judging it in competition.

Super shot of this special breed Richie. Thanks for the info in the narrative too. Never too old to learn something.

The first thing I notice about him besides his colorful coat is his horns are backwords to most rams.

Certainly a coat of many colours.
Nice capture - it almost looks as though it is posing for you. It looks just about ready for a shearing.
I think it slightly resembles a goat and I would not like to tangle with those horns :).

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
