And what a big nest. With many other birds it is the opposite - among the blackbirds the mail has to collect twigs and build and if the female doesn't like it she gets a fit and destroys it :) Seems almost human .

Seems that they are building a storey house. Perhaps that they are progressive swans, lol.

It's good to see the Swans building a nest, and boy is it big. I know several pairs of Swans myself, and expect to hear the flap of tiny flippers real soon. (o:
