Of White balance. To the left WB set to cloudy. To the right a custom WB. The custom WB was taken off a shot of green grass then saved. The custom WB Is a much truer version of the actual scene... You choose....R.

Good idea here!...I notice 'Auto' white balance works pretty good at times too

I keep mine on auto and find that it works in sunshine as well as when the sky is overcast. Nice comparison

I never use Auto..I can't see the sense of going to the expense of a DSLR and using any Auto mode at all..If Auto anything is the Norm,One may as well buy a small cheapo compact....R.

I found out the differences in the WB on my trip into NM. A lot of my shots had a weird blue tint to them. I later discovered the WB was set on florescent. I didn't know weather to laugh, cry or cuss. A very good shot. I like the old brick in the building and the composition is perfect.

Great comparison.
Not sure which I prefer but tend towards the cloudy setting, for the extra warmth.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
