My dictionary is under another heavy book and I am not quite certain about "rectory"... but all the same and nevertheless this reminds me one famous image here posted in 2003 or 2004 by one great artist [am not quite certain again about his identity, but a male] where in the autumn the fallen leaves look like a shadow of the tree... Here they are fallen petals and blooms which play the same role. Am going now to find the image I mean and will return. SAM & SAAB

Richie - Many years ago, (more than I will admit), when in Europe, I was impressed with the lawns and gardens surrounding the large rectories in each town. This one is striking, with the flowering tree and lush green grass. ~Thad
