Built in 1760 in the park of the Bishops of Durham. It provided deer with shelter and food, and had grounds for picnics and rooms for enjoying the view.No Telly those days....R.

It must have been a pretty sight with people having picnic on the grounds and the deer shyly watching them from a distance or coming closer to partake the lunch and tea. Well composed shot.

Now that's wonderful to see they thought of the wildlife back then. This is a beautiful structure, what marvelous detail and lighting, now this is something I'd love to see in person.
