My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
While it is a simple photograph, for someone who spent many hours in a college darkroom and many years shooting for a state agency, it is an outstanding study in shadow and light. The tiny, disjointed shapes reflecting light, deep in the shadows, are just enough for our seasoned eyes to "build the bridge" between what we see and what is hidden, the light lines of design details in the tabletop and that single curved slash of blue that is the base of the lamp. Very good, Richie.
