Well, they look like they're headed somewhere with deadly intent. A lot of the bird photos I see, yours included, Richie, are perfectly posed, perfectly lit, and perfectly colored. This is more like a diorama of the real life of an English pheasant hen, and your pano treatment really enhances their trek through the reeds.

They need something to liven the party up -they do not look happy. Are they pheasants? Silly birds with very little brain - just like to make a noise, unlike human hen parties which are usually very dignified :) To capture four of them like this is an achievement - it is an exceptional image
