There was a poplar-edged meadow outside my office window for the forty years of my career, and a mated pair of these arrived there about thirty years ago, raising chicks each year who, in turn, raised more. When I retired the flock had reached 75 birds and they were always entertaining to watch, noting that certain ones had particular personalities and some more intelligent than others (one, I swear, was the unfortunate avian version of an annoyingly stupid brother-in-law), like the one who would find crackers and then dip them in rainwater to soften them up before eating them. Besides feeding many of the squirrels in the poplars, I found their familiarity with us humans refreshing. It is obvious that you have as well. Very cool.
If you've ever wanted to make a difference but found it hard to believe that one person could... check out the Kiva Team Caedes discussion thread and discover that anything is possible.
Richie, I suppose there are no peanuts growing in the ground in front of your house, 😁 . Judging by this beautiful photograph, 'Colin' knows how to detect your generosity perfectly.
If you think you can't accept something, try to change it. But if this doesn't work, don't be frustrated, but give it later another try. The one who perseveres wins!
