I found this bridge the same day I took Serenity. I seen it from the highway which is well below the bridge and it took forever to actually find a road to it. Why you ask. Its because it is in the middle of a pasture and not really of use for anything except to attract the attention of curious people like me. It is also my entry into the contest.

It certainly looks like a bridge to nowhere, Billy. Or maybe it's not a bridge at all. I think it's more likely that this bridge is actually an antiquated trap to capture mastodons and dinosaurs which I understand frequented parts of Colorado in ancient times. However with that fenceline immediately adjacent and what appears to be a channel or valley to the right, perhaps there's some sort of storm drain that runs under the bridge.

It's a great shot and well composed. Love those fluffy clouds and the beautiful sky, but the bridge is the essence of the shot. Did you try to drive or walk across it? Something tells me that there's something below those high grasses.

Perfect entry for the contest, Billy. Pure surrealism. Very serious candidate to become a winner!

Good Luck.

Just where is that? West of Colorado Springs? That must really look strange out here in the pasture. Great shot Billy. I love the mountain range in the distance. Good luck in the contest.

Who could refute the "surrealness" of a bridge in the middle of nowhere going nowhere?? Love it. Great contest entry.

Billy - Unless this is in Alaska, I'm sure the bridge went somewhere at some time. It is a unique image with the deck and surrounding ground fully covered with grass. Best of luck in the contest. Thad

Is there no road going through or to this bridge? Hmmm what an oddity. Well being unique, original and creative is all about photography. Nice capture my friend.
