Well I finnally made it to Arizona. I have been waiting for my contest shot just for this. These grow like weeds around here in the desert. I love them and I hope you will to.
WOW, now that cactus is very very old, it takes sometimes 75 years before they even develop their first arm. Saguara Cactus, this is the kind this one is. Right into my favs
How old do they have to be to get an arm and a leg BTK. This is sure some kind of shot. I can see why you waited. It looks like a gnarly hand holding another hand sticking up out of the ground. Beautiful work.
If this were a black and white, it would remind me of the old westerns on TV back in the 50's and 60's. The Lone Ranger, Roy Rogers and such! Excellent shot, Billy.

Now that's a cactus! And it's in my favorite desert, Sonora. I've heard that they don't start to branch out till they're fifty or so years old, so this one must be a real oldtimer... Good shot! mary
