playing with acrylic (i am absolutely an oil person at this stage in my life), but hey i was told i made a flower vase on a table or a door in a deranged forest. ill accept this as a sign of not a total failure. ive also considered hanging this horizontally on my wall, but then the flowers will probably spill out of the vase.

I see a small body in there. Mostly black with two white eyes, and it must be a girl, as there's curlers in her hair.

I am sure they are in there somewhere B16. If they are they are surrounded by beautiful colors and they are beautiful as well.

I see the vase and the flowers, but I can also see other things there too, that others don't see. A cartoon duck's head, a multi-colored parrot, a pink angel, a real small puppy, a pair of blue ballet slippers...I could go on and on. It's fun using the imagination. Beautiful work, Miss B.

It took me a while to clear away the clutter, but I was able to finally see the vase, the table top escapes me at this time as I was distracted by the angry bull erupting through the wall of flowers. A nice assortment of flowers you've managed to arrange. Nice work and thanks for sharing.

Emily, when I look at your paintings, I see lots of aggression. The strokes are so deliberate and you make no effort it seems to mix your colors in a pleasing sense. You speak of failure. Do you feel that way about yourself? Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think you'd want me to be dishonest about what I perceive.

fair assessment cynlee, you can probably see when I think I am creating something that is a 'failure' I kind of give up and sometimes the ends turn out pleasing (in a contradictory sense) and sometimes i feel like trashing the painting. drawings and paintings like the rose and butterfly and the dona isabel.. those you may see i was more pleased with myself.

and everyone, thanks for playing along with me on my paintings-- love the creativity and open minds =) also i enjoy your humors aussi

It's the colors that are important with your works. The brightness can open up the artist to new concepts. Play like a child in a play pen but don't eat the paint. I enjoyed this creation my friend. Well done.

I can see the aggression of which Cindy spoke, but I also sense pain. The multiple layers of heavy acrylics do not just cover vases and doors and table tops, but they also provide cover from which one may be found behind.

I also think Vic is on to something. You are very expressive with your colors and in this one I see a festival full of bright "gala" colors.

So, are the colors a cover for the acrylics or are we witnessing the good and the painful moods of our favorite new artist?

ha thanks for the bode of confidence with the new fav artist, very nice of you to write (very doubtful too) but still danke :). both, the colors are the cover for the painful and also good moods of the painter.

I see something that I would end up with if I ever tried painting with acrylics! I look at this and I can see so many different things but for some reason I do not see a vase. My brain seems to always see the positives so I see this as a colorful dance. A glass half full I guess. Can one paint a positive out of aggression? I like it.

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder"
The artist paints to what they see and if they like it they display it, what we see is our own perception of their image, it does not matter what we see so long as you are happy with the painting,
To me this is a piece of very creative art "well done"
