little bit of soft light here...
little bit of selective color adjustment layer there...
and another darkened gradient on top...
and one for the blots ;o)
I used to have an image of a stump in water almost exactly like this in my gallery too for the reflections and the way the water was reacting to the light, but it was before I knew anything about pumping up my shots, so it's been gone a long time. I admire the work you did here. It's believeable in an unbelievable way...if that makes any sense at all!!! Lovely Blue.

Not that I haven't been checking in to see what is new in your world of photography Chris ... 'cause I have and do ... but, it's been some time since I wrote you a 'book'. ;o)
Here we go ...
First, your editing skills have improved dramatically. That's a great thing, and here I quote a quote from Phil; aka philcuk:
"Great photographers take more pictures, and edit better."
That may not be a direct translation, but I think you will understand my meaning here.
Adding to your creative 'toolset' is key, I think.
Your image here speaks volumes about both skills. That behind the lens and in the post-sweetening process.
Very nice work. I like this one a lot.
Annnnd ... adding a smile to your viewers' faces with your title? Icing on the cake ... and ... I like cake a lot too. :oP
