Hey Chris, I visited this zoo too on my last day in Salzburg! I didn't quite manage to focus without the fence though and you have done that really well. Was there a black cat in with this one as I had photos of two of them cuddling up together and was disappointed I could not post them because the criss-cross fencing just spoilt the picture? Fantastic shot - I love big cats!

The setting of his surroundings look so lifelike and natural, if you had not told us, it was in a zoo, you could have fooled me, thinking it was shot in the real outdoors.
Hope that you will continue to have good weather, and make many great pictures with the new camera ! can't wait to see.
I am home again, left this morning, and brought just under 6.000 new images with me :-) (lots of them are double though, just with different settings)
Several of my photos are available for purchase in larger format at Shutterpoint, and some are also available in high quality framed prints at http://djholmes.imagekind.com/

Chris: I have to agree with all the comments above. Lovely shot of a great animal. Wish I could have one my self, but I don't think my landlord would allow it ;-) Into my favorites.
Sorry that I haven't been commenting more. Just got lazy? But I did look at most of them. And again, thanks to all of you for your comments on mine.
