Well, the water looks a might murky, but that is a great action shot of that wave. Good thing you were back a ways or you'd be soaked to the gills. Good work, Steve.
Hi Steve, a great capture of the stormy waves again here, but may I make a suggestion? I don't know what type of camera you are using, but if you were using a tripod, I would have liked to have seen this shot with a slower shutter speed, to really capture the motion of the water. Just a thought, but still a great shot as it is.
What a great shot!! I just know that its going to hit the pavement with a great slapping noise :) Are sure it didnt get you?? I have to say that I have really enjoyed this series.
Doesn't just show the power of the waves, there's also terrific light and colour here. These rusty railings are really photogenic in the right conditions. I can't get over how the water looks like plastic or something. It works with the bit of road in the foreground too, although it is an odd colour - did that come from the post work I wonder? Great shot here Steve, you're going to get the soaking of your life one of these days if you carry on doing these!
I love the quick shutter speed, stop action of the moment. Great shot, Steve! Boy, the storm certainly was ferocious. Even dredging up all the sand from the bottom. Even with a telephoto lens, you must be catching the spray.
It's amazing how you got this shot with the water not quite hitting the pavement as yet, or was it after it hit? It's a fanstastic shot for sure!! The colours in the water are so dramatic and just filled with action..amazing shot..Verena
Do not wait; the time will never be "just right."Start where you are and work with whatever tools you may have at your command, and better tools will be found as you go along.
