It was a glorious sunny, but breezy, day to-day so I went down to photograph my old favourite, The Perch Rock Lighthouse at the mouth of The River Mersey. These are my first shots of The New Brighton Front with my new Nikon D60. f6.3, 1/1000, 55mm

This is a wonderful shot of the lighthouse, looks a little inaccessible at the moment. I agree with Carrie above - lots of action in this shot. The sky color is wonderful! ~ Pam

Very nice shot, it's odd how it's right out there in the water. I'm used to seeing them up on bluffs or rocks. I think you're getting the hang of the new camera Steve!

So, you got a Nikon D60? Great purchase, but you been batting a thousand here lately with your images and I think it started before your purchase. This is a keeper.

Hello Old Friend!

Your best yet of this lighthouse Steve - fine shot, with heaps of energy and action.
Colours are superb - never have I seen the Mersey look so blue:)

Hello old friend. What's different here Steve? The summer light? The camera? The post work? It has an entirely different feel - lighter, bluer sky I think and much better proportions. Hope you keep visiting this place.
