Or... Why Would A dog Like A Statue?

"Another Place" on Crosby Beach, North of Liverpool is the home to 100 cast-iron, naked, men all looking out to sea. This work of art has given pleasure to hundreds of thousands of people in the three years it's been at Crosby, so why shouldn't a dog enjoy them too?

Why would a dog like a statue huh
Well that's a leading question, but I'm too much of a gent to reply. ;o)
I like the dog in this shot Steve simply because it provides warmth to this cold sculpture.

Big brother's watching you :o) A mistreated dog should try to leave a deposit on their masters best carpet, after all it's important to establish who's boss ... Welcome to the last resort. :o)

Interesting black and white. Do the dogs add to the puddles? LOL

I agree with Phlossie and I think the dog is about to add some warmth. Was there any public (carefully typed) outcry to the nude statues. I'm sure there must have been some organization that disapproved if it is anything like our part of the world. Good series Steve.

Hopefully there are more enlightened people in the world than what we encounter here. There must be hope somewhere...lol...

How can I follow Tick's remark? I'm trying, but I seem to be thinking along the same lines.

I've enjoyed seeing this series, although I haven't commented on every one of them. It took me a while to decide how I felt about the statement that was being made.

Photographically they've all been good. No question there!

We don’t make art to show someone what something looks like. All this requires is eyes (or a lens). Art is supposed to have meaning, emotion, power, or magic. Alan & Mario "FourThirds"

Great mixture of art and real life, and the b&w keeps the focus on the figure. Great stuff. I bet it rusted a bit more though after the dog had 'paid a visit'?
