This is a police river launch on The River Mersey taken while I was on The Mersey Ferry. However, this is a boat that belongs to the Welsh police as Heddlu is the Welsh for police, as Jo will confirm. So why were they on The Mersey? I don't know but they were going very fast. ( I should point out that, as the boat sails, the nearest point of Wales to Liverpool is less than twenty miles away.)

Nice action shot. Boats are always a great subject, in my opinion.

Wow, what a great action shot! You nailed this one! You captured this image at just the right moment. The expression is priceless, and there is a sense of speed and urgency, complemented by the posture and intensity of the driver. Nicely done!!

I think they are looking for Phlossies Duke of Earl. I always thought there was something fishy about that duck. Is that a Oxymoron, or is it just moronic. Either way this is a good action shot. Good post Steve.

Yup, looks like they're going somewhere in a big hurry... Things like that happen around here too, especially in the tourist season... Good action!

Great action shot with good composition and clarity! By their expressions I would say they are in a big hurry.

Good action shot Steve - the heddlu were just enjoying the beauty of the Mersey I am sure.
The clarity of this is excellent and a great sense of movement captured.

They're looking for illegal immigrants Steve. They can tell who's allowed in Wales and who isn't by the way they say Gogogoch. My only concern with this is that being a Welsh boat it didn't spring a leak. Leek. Geddit?! Oh never mind.
