After our day on Sunday singing as part of The Visiting Choir (whilst the Cathedral Choir is on holiday) Mrs Braces and I returned to The Liverpool Anglican Cathedral on Monday for The Bank Holiday Organ Recital. This year's organist was Ian Wells, who had been the organist for us the day before. After the wonderful recital I spent some time photographing The Cathedral.
One of the biggest problems, apart from low light levels inside, is trying to show just how massive it is. It's the biggest Cathedral in Britain; the biggest Protestant Cathedral in Europe; the second biggest Protestant Cathedral in The World and the fifth largest Cathedral of any denomination in the world! Mrs Braces actually took this image, that's me sitting on the bench just inside the gate. There will be several more images, both external and internal, to come.
