It is, of course, The Perch Rock Lighthouse, at the mouth of The River Mersey. this picture was taken at a particularly low tide (7th May) so I was able to get nearer than ever before.
It looks great and it is hard to believe the waves aren't crashing around it. If that gull is there, he blends in too well. Another fine post of your and my favorite lighthouse Caruso.
Talk about low tide. Is this the same lighthouse that I have seen huge waves crashing around? Surely not...
Wonder how ya get in the thing with a a tide this low? Pretty picture.
Wow, I just love you other shots of the lighthouse with all the hard waves, and I think this is a great shot, to show how low the tide can get, you can see it not like that a lot. Great capture and great timing.
Quite a change to see your favourite lighthouse so high and dry. Nice shot, unusual too. It must have been spring tide (highest high water and lowest low water) when you took this.
Very nicely done. I love the photos you have shown with the waves crashing against this lighthouse...It is fun to see it standing alone like this in low tide. Love the blue sky in the background.

Hi Steve, nice to see the lighthouse having a day off from being battered by the waves! Nice comp and good colour too, and nice to see it in a portrait style too.
