Super title for this capture Steve. Beautiful greens and detail in this close up and love the softness of the background. It'll be a few years before the new tree takes root

I do like this acorn shot. I hope you didn't have to climb up too many branches to get this capture. Well done!

I love these little Acorns. When I was a little child in Germany I used to take the "nut" part out and use the shells to put tiny cut outs of people etc in them. Some I used as nests for birdies. So this is a wonderful memory for me. I love how you got such a clear photo of these. Did you know you could dry them and then crack them and grind them? and you will have Acorn Flour that can be baked with?! A lot of work, but might be tasty..Thanx for a nice photo. Verena

Good people are good because they've come to wisdom through failure. We get very little wisdom from success, you know.

I like the placement of the acorns in the photo Caruso. Squirrels love them. You can hear the hulls dropping through the leaves and branches as they much away. Very good post.

Yes it's that time of year. I wonder if mighty oaks will grow from these ones.

Like Verena I used to use the little shell bits as cups and bowls for fairies. I didnt know you could use them for baking though may try it. Excellent upload x
