Some Primulas in a border in The Walled Garden in Royden Park today (27th March 2010). There are plenty of buds on plants and bushes but not too many flowers at the moment. These shone like little jewels in the sunshine.

It was gloriously sunny today, but a bit chilly, and the birds were singing their hearts out. Please click HERE to see a short video that I made this afternoon.

Fabulous composition. I love the way the light is catching the petals and the leaves. Nice to see that spring is arriving in the North of England, too.

These are such cheerful little flowers - and always a bright spot in the cooler months. I look forward to seeing all your spring growth next. :)
The lighting is nicely dappled.
