A flock of birds coming in to feed on the banks of The River Mersey at low tide. I'm very taken with the scene here of all the small boats in various states of usefulness and decay. I always associate The Mersey with large ships and these pictures show a different side of the river.

I love this shot, especially the boats. Even nicer at full screen. Low tides are so nice too, except for the smell at times.

I think the birds just make this shot, as if you try and imagine the picture without them, although good, they add a certain depth and interest too. Brilliant!

I really like this one Caruso. The composition and tones really suit my tastes. A lot to see and the birds look like quotation marks.
