The winds topped 53mph (85kph) today in "Glorious" New Brighton in an unexpected storm more reminiscent of a storm in November. We were lucky as further north in Scotland winds were gusting to 80mph (128kph)!

Here's a view of The Perch Rock Lighthouse at the mouth of The River Mersey at 3.15pm this afternoon.

The unpredictability of weather is becoming worse with the global warming Steve. See all those tornadoes in the U.S. Very nice and clear shot of the lighthouse.

Steve, in our country we had the storm too. Another strange thing is that we didn't have rain of any importance for more than three months while in normal situations Holland is soaking in March and April. Like therefore to agree with the words of Raj above.
Thanks for this beautiful capture.
Regards, Cornelius.

I never tire of looking at your different posts of this Lighthouse Caruso. The brilliant coloring makes this one special.

Very well captured, with perfect composition, being on the beach on a windy day is an experience in itself. Tigs♥ =^..^=

I had my baseball cap blown off while washing the car, I heard Scotland got the worst of the winds, great shot of your beloved Lighthouse.

Hard to choose a fave from your shots of this lighthouse but I would say this must be near the top.
Great shot!

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . I had hoped that in all the high winds we have just had, that a shot of my fave light house would be posted. Am so pleased to see it again, great shot.
