This is the flower of a friend's Queen of The Night and it's just about to open. These desert plants don't flower often and when they do it's at night as they are pollinated by moths. For the next stage in its opening you'll have to wait till Foofy Friday.
Something dramatic to listen to. THIS is the famous aria sung by the Queen of The Night in Mozart's Magic Flute. The aria starts at about 2m 10s.
