The tide's coming in at "Glorious" New Brighton at the end of The Wirral (opposite Liverpool) and you're looking at The Irish Sea. The way the sea is rushing between the groynes looks like a bath filling up.

The highest rise and fall I have experienced in the U.K. is in Avonmouth Steve. It is something like 10 metres! Nice shot of the tide rushing in. It looks impressive.
