Goosey goosey gander,

Whither shall I wander?

Upstairs and downstairs

And in my lady's chamber.

There I met an old man

Who wouldn't say his prayers,

So I took him by his left leg

And threw him down the stairs.

(words from a traditional nursery rhyme)

Taken at The Mere Ellesmere, Shropshire.

The yellow rimmed eye gives the bird a bit mean look ... Like my Boris dark yellow eyes ... LOL
The rhyme is definitely cruel and not politically correct any more. Any more ...?! Any more...?
Oh, right. Maybe I am wrong.

Good Goose portrait, Caruso.
Looks like he means business.

Good shot of the goose Steve. At the moment he/she is in no mood to wander about it seems.

Nice goose well taken Steve.
You know I always wondered why it was his left leg he was taken by. I still don't know, probably never will now.

Edit: Eeek, I googled the rhyme - like many of those old rhymes, it has a far more sinister and dark meaning than appears on the surface.
