This is what remains of Birkenhead Priory. Much of the sandstone you see here dates back to 1150 and is the oldest building in Merseyside. the building at the end is now a museum.

The grave in the foreground is that of John Laird who was a shipbuilder and founder of the firm that became Cammell Lairds.

Oh, I just remembered about the contest! SOT [TicK] is right. I only wish they made huge windows while building this Priory. A little thought for the future generations and the photographers and/or painters in the future. Those middle age builders had no consideration for us. HOWGH
Beauty of an image - as you know I love the reflections in the most regretfully too small window panes. LOL
