We were able to witness a partial eclipse of the sun this morning, despite the cloudy conditions. This image was taken at 9.30am today (20th March 2015) from outside our house in "Glorious" New Brighton. This was at the maximum coverage (90% here).

Steve, you were lucky to have seen this event of the solar eclipse - great capture!!! Today is Freaky Friday - there will be three (3) major celestial events that will occur today. They are the Solar Eclipse, a Supermoon, and the Spring Equinox!!!

I pay little attention to media news and only heard about the eclipse on the car radio this afternoon. Well captured Mr B! you were fortunate to get such clear skies.

Very well done ! A rare event captured here :)

Down here in the Southern Hemisphere I think we have one next year sometime.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Finally !!!!!
Steve, you are an angel to provide me this image. Both the undersigned got stiff necks from looking up in the sky all Friday morning and nothing ... Maybe we had no proper equipment or maybe it was not visible in our extreme west-north little corner of Poland...
Anyway, many thanks!
