This is the Tranmere Oil Terminal on The River Mersey. Oil tankers are emptied here and the crude oil is sent by pipeline to the huge Stanlow Oil Refinery about 8 miles south.

Very good take with the action of the bird in flight, it gives good impact to this shot Mr. B.-- Gerry and the pacemakers comes to my mind. :)

Now this one is definitely far more industrial, Steve, so no more fun making. Business only! LOL
My kind of favourite shipping & industry image = ships & energy.

The low flying gull wants no part of the work going on Caruso.
Let us hope there are no spills.
Another good shot.

Another good panorama shot with the oil terminal, wind turbines and the single gull flying low.

Looks like the gull wants to go somewhere it isn't as busy or noisy. Like the way this freighter/cargo ship is a brighter colour, really stands out

Naturally that seagull in flight was the first thing that caught my eye Mr B. (o:
We still have a busy port at Avonmouth, Bristol and have refineries there too.
I suspect this image is quite heavily cropped, if you have the money a high mag lens would give you better options.
