This is a manipulated panorama of "Glorious" New Brighton taken this afternoon (27/03/2015) from the other side of the Mersey in Crosby. The figure in the water is one of the hundred life-size cast-iron statues called "Another Place"by Sir Antony Gormley ( more of these to come).

"Glorious" New Brighton has often been accused of being 50 years out of date so I have manipulated this image (in Picasa 3) to resemble a 1960's image.

Good to see the view from the other side Steve. Brings back some memories to me. My wife and I had friends in Wallasey. Good postwork/manip.

You did a good job of sending it back to the 60's, Caruso.
Makes me want to throw on a Beatles album.

The lighthouse looks so puny in this shot. Amazing work on this excellent pano, Steve.

A beautifully done pano Steve.
I was there in the 60's and can vouch you have the right atmosphere :)
I wonder if all the Anthony Gormleys will be there in another 50 years. I guess they will, and will have seen a lot by then.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
