Another statue on Crosby beach at the mouth of The River Mersey. This time the statue is looking at the wind turbines just off "Glorious" New Brighton (in the foreground) and a much more distant wind farm near North Wales.

This wind farm is most impressive, Steve... I know that I can always google that to check any data, but perhaps you have them nearby at hand. I mean the capacity in kV, number of turbines only in fact. Powerful image of great moodiness and offering possibility of various interpretations. I like the composition, those statues are kind of freaky but yet cool. We don't have many turbines around here, just single use here and there. tigs=^..^=
He is looking at the turbines in dismay and wondering why the outlook is so busy. I know they are necessary and provide good green power, not to mention jobs. I have just read that an extra 32 of them are to be installed there - there will be no room for boats or fishes soon ! Having said that they do have a certain charm in this image Steve, and perhaps the gormley man is just mesmerized by the motion.
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
