A close-up of one of the hundred statues placed on Crosby beach. The bobble-hat has been put on him by a fan. Everybody has taken these statues to their hearts and they are regularly decorated, dressed or given hairstyles (often made of sand but sometimes wigs are used). They have been used as crowds in both Nativity and Passion plays. The building behind him is his Fortress of Solitude (well really The Crosby Leisure Centre).
