Perfect lighting and macro to illustrate the intricacies of the structure of a rose, Steve. This will look great centered in a black field on my monitor. By the way, the yellow rose may have been immortalized in Texas, but it is native to Iran, ancient Persia, and was introduced into Europe around 1583. I had to illustrate and lay out a book of short stories years ago, the title story centering around an American father who returns to Istanbul to visit his daughter's grave, bringing flowers. Research into what perfect flower he might have brought led me to this information.

Tremendous capture. Favorite for me. The lighting and clarity and color and background are exquisite, one of the most beautiful captures of a rose that I have ever seen. Bravo!
Congratulations for both Mrs. B and you Steve. Judging the beauty of this single rose, think that her, by you presented, bouquet of roses must have been a splendid one! She's a lucky one (meant both literal and figuratively)!
