The Moon as seen from our back garden in "Glorious" New Brighton.

This is a waxing gibbous moon with 79% illumination. The Moon is 378,720.80km away from Earth.

This was taken handheld using my Nikon p610.

Who can resist a plump, growing moon? Always beguiling.

Excellent clarity for handheld, Steve! And I love the slight bluing of the shadow's edge on the left.

Really nice shot! Terrific desktop!

Really steady hand. You can see some wonderful textures and craters in it.
