Near Guaraparì Located on the coast of Espírito Santo State, this peninsula of 580 km2 was founded in 1585 by the Jesuit priest José de Anchieta. Its name is derived from two words of indigenous origin: the prefix Guara = heron and the suffix Parim = crippled. It became internationally known when it was found out the medicinal properties of its monazitic sand, then being called "Cidade Saúde" (Healthy City), boats leave for trips to "Três Praias" (Three Beaches)

The most relevant thing about this picture is the two different colours of the water, and the little bit of bright sand. The sky is great, too. Brasil attracts me and if I were a rich man... Congratulations and thanks for the description.

Very nice picture. I like the composition with the sand strip thru the water, dividing two different colors of it, and the beach with houses separating water from the sky. Very pleasant to look at.

What a beautiful shot, I love the simplicity of it and the colors are great. Nature can be so beautiful all by itself. Thanks for sharing!
