We had really weird light a few nights ago, culminating in a great sunset over the Swan River. The ripples you can see down the bottom are from my dog...she was having a little paddle. I'm thinking of doing some modifications with photoshop, what do you think?

What a beautiful image Sophie! Gorgeous sunset strewn across the water like that. With the boats off to the side like that this is just a perfect, picturesque shot! If you're going to do any mods please don't change anything about the water color. I love the copper look!! Into my faves it goes!..=)

What breathtakingly beautiful colors you have here Sophie! I am not sure that you need any modifications in photoshop. Mother Nature has the best color pallette of anyone! This is a perfect example. I really like the ripples in the foreground. It takes the viewers eye right out to the sunset. These colors are incredibly vivid. I have downloaded this into my favorites on my harddrive. Thanks for posting this :~)

nice photo, but i agree, some photoshoping could really clean this picture up, things i would suggest you do

1 get rid of all the lights in the trees except for the nice line on the left side
2 clone out a few of the buoys anchoring the boats, they only 'dirty' up the nice reflection in the water
3 get rid of the noise in the sky, which would make the clouds alot smoother
4 maybe crop this image, possibly not maintaining the 4:3 aspect ration, but cutting out the ripples on the bottom, and the partial boat on the right side, those 2 elements only take your eye out of the picture

5 let me know if you try any of these things, i'd like to see what you come up with

Hello Soph....The colours and contrast in this are truly stunning. I love the intense atmosphere in this shot and the sky reflection in the water really help to pull your attention in towards the main focal point...Well done...All the best ...Mick.

Fantastic photo. The colour and reflections of those orange clouds are fantastic. The silhouettes are well composed and overall its a very impressive photo. I think you should definetely photoshop out the lights in the trees though. they are a little distracting. 8/10
