Knowing that it has previously snowed the night before, i woke at the crack of dawn to capture this pictire in the woods. This was taken just as it began to get light, you can see the pink sky in the backgroud through the trees. It was great! i love snow!

Matt, this is too beautiful to be true. Therefore I would believe that you actually got up that early and took this amazing shot if I receive some written confirmation from your parents or guardians [a spouse or a girlfriend would do as well as women grow up sooner and can be trusted more...]. LOL This preamble has been meant to say that I am simply bewildered ! 10/10 all the time. On my desktop too, of course. Thank you so much.

Very very nice winter scene. The pink hue does convey something really neat though, its like a real classical winter feeling. I can't quite put my finger on it but its really good. excellent work. keep it coming.

Great winter scene. Good job getting up early and getting a picture before any new tire tracks spoiled the quiet magical mood of this.

very good detailing and colours - the only downside I can see with the image is the quite flat lighting contrast in the foreground areas which in turn is making it look a little busier than it otherwise would. a great capture none the less.

Oh I love that soft pink tone casting on the snow...this is so lovely....its even coming thru the snow laden tree branches. A most beautiful photo that captures all the crisp snow feelings.

I love the snow and snow scenes and this one is beautiful... the pink colour of the sky enhances the white snow, i like how the road keeps going through the trees.. nice lighting and composition... beautifully taken..

I love that soft pink sky, what a delight first thing in the morning ! That sky peeking thru the branches just serves to enhance the snowfall, a truly beautiful shot.

Magnificent capture. You have done justice to the nature by waking up early and taking this shot. Just like every one mentioned the slight pink adds superb variety to the scene and the deep dark places give space for the colors to glow. Nice work

I like this one better than at dusk. Not only for the cropping, but everything definitely has a much sharper focus to it. Well done!

So... This has been a long time, and I don't know if you will ever see this comment, since you have not been here since 2016.

I wanted to tell you that since I last commented on this, I've lived in Caribbean, Ohio, Texas, Chicago, and NYC... And this image has often been on my desktop and screensaver, and - especially in hot times - has been my mental happy place and kept me going through some unpleasant times. And now I encountered it on Caedes home page.

I wanted to say thank you for being out there, taking this photograph, and sharing it with us. One never knows whose lives one touches or how.
