This is a manip. of an excelent photo by Michelfr. I stretched the background to fill the whole screen, desaturated and blurred it, then ramped up the saturation of the main subject. [original]
i have come to believe that the whole world is nothing but an enigma.a harmless enigma that is made terrible by are own mad attempt to find is underlieing truths.
I really really like this! I see pics of butterflies all the time, but I like how you composed this one! It's neat how you made the only thing in color the butterfly, it draws more attention to its beauty. The original is quite astonishing too. She must feel honored to have you work with one of her photos!
There is a pleasure in the pathless woods,
There is a rapture on the lonely shore,
There is a society, where none intrudes,
By the deep Sea, and music in its roar,
I love not man less, but Nature more
--Lord Byron
Didn't notice this one before. Not only is your work here fantastic for the subject of the photo. But it also turned me on to Michels's stunning gallery. Your treatment of this one really pulls the subject out of the screen towards you.
Wow..what a good picture. The pretty colored butterfly on that white flower really stands out against the b&w background which has created an awesome shot. Great for a desktop too. Good work from you. High marks here :)
This butterfly looks so real I expect it to flutter off my desktop any second. I believe the original name for a butterfly was flutterby - I am glad this one is staying.
Neat I like this, it really makes you focus on the colors and beauty of the butterfly instead of being distracted by the background. I love the black and white effect, great post Caedes! :)
How lovely it is when unexpected blessings come into my life to cheer me up and put a smile into my heart. Help me to pass them on, dear Lord. Fay Angus
Nice re-work mate!! Some loss of details, but then again how could you be held accountable for that ehh?? Superb colorings against the B&W!! Really stands out nicely!!
This is nice but lets be honest that just is not what one would see in nature, tweaking it is one thing to make it a bit more appealing. Perhaps cooling down the flower and the left wing would be easier on the eyes. The background was a nice affect but even that could have been controlled with a flash.
