My son had testing today at the college he will be attending in September. While he was busy, I roamed the campus and took a few pictures. "Checkmate, Next" was taken from a balcony on Founder's Hall looking across and down to a patio area.

If Owd Bob is his opponent, he must have gotten up for a potty break, then. Very nice shot, John.

That is a statue, right? Not a real man? Or am I seeing things? Maybe I'm so tired I can't see it right! Please forgive me John, but at the same time this is really a neat capture! Very captivating! Cool!

I thought it was a real guy at first! lol Where is his partner or does he trade seats and play his partner's moves too? Best of luck to your son and remind him to 'Always go to class. That's half the battle and I wish someone had told me that a long time ago! Good to see you brought your camera and soon found something neat to shoot. Nice one, John!

Great shot John. Did you make the winning move there that has the sculpture puzzled? :o) I hope your son did well with the testing.

Love the sculpture and it looks like he's in really thinking hard. He was taking too much time so his partner left for a break, lol. Really like the Title and the story, I wish your son best of luck at school. Fantastic capture, John.

Wonder if you can just sit down and start playing with him...? Would he move or say something? And would you jump up and run for the hills if he did? Lol! Niiice catch, John!
